Begin Your Climb
Thank you so much for entering our world on the web. This site and all it contains are here to be an aid for you. It has been said that "in this world we will have tribulation." In modern day translation - crap happens. Which brings me to the beginning of my story. I was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to a wonderful teenage mother who has always been there for me. She has been awesome in every respect. My "kid parents" divorced when I was three years old. Many of you may have had the same experience. From that point in my life I was sexually and physically abused which left me fearful and depressed. I was ten years old when my uncle gave me my first joint and by the time I was twelve I was being tossed into bed with women to be "taught the ropes" of being a man. As a child I was forced to fight other kids older than myself while living in the projects and on the "wrong side of the tracks." At fifteen years old I had had enough and decided to leave home. I was angry, fearful and empty. By the time I was 18 I was heavily involved with drugs and other destructive behaviors leading further down the road to a certain early and agonizing death.

By the age of 22 I was dealing drugs and shooting up. I had been arrested and saw no hope for the future. It was that year I overdosed. In my hospital room in Chattanooga I saw I was dead-meat. There alone and empty I had no hope and no direction. There were no friends or family to see me--I was alone! In that room I remembered how I had heard about God and His love. When I was in sixth grade a friend took me to church the morning after I had spent the night at his home. I always spent the night somewhere else if possible. I heard how God loved everyone and would help people in need. That was certainly me.

So, at 22, I remembered that day in sixth grade and I cried out to God for help. It was as if I became a new person. I began the climb of my life that day. My passion started to develop to help others to achieve their full potential. I came so close to missing not only my potential, but life itself, and in that I want to help others. This site is designed to do just that. I have provided many resources to aid you in your journey. I want to help others connect to God and experience the amazing life God has planned for them. Since I partnered with God, He has exploded in my life in so many ways. I chose to be in the ministry to help others. I have seen thousands grow and experience great and purpose filled lives. In 2004 Outreach Magazine listed Faith Promise Church as the 93rd fastest growing Church in America. Today our Church is still exploding in growth and seeing lives transformed. I am privileged to be a speaker at seminars and retreats all around the world to discuss leadership, church and personal growth, marriage, and church stewardship. Let me know how I can partner with you to help you climb to your full potential.
