Betting On The Future
Wait a minute Chris, I don’t bet. Sure you do, we all do to a certain extent. How you view the future and more specifically, your future, determines what you see and what you will do. It’s a bet. I’m betting big on faith and the future. 2008 was an amazing year but I expect, look forward to, and bet, the future is even better. So I’m planning on exciting things happening. Some people have a “not enough to go around mentality” while others have an “abundance mentality.” Which one do you have? I believe there is more than enough for us all, so I look to this year with great anticipation, how about you? With all the voices we hear daily that are overtlynegative, I want to be one voice “crying in the wilderness.” It will be all right. Bet on the future, and bet on you. You and God are a majority and you can overcome more that you can imagine. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” What miracles are you planning for?
See you at the top of the mountain.
Love,
Pastor Chris

I am fascinated by the topic of faith. I have learned that God knows our heart so we cannot just say we have faith with our mouths, it has to be at our very core, our heart and our soul. I believe that God knew that this would be a difficult area and most people would struggle with faith. To complicate matters further, the enemy is fully aware of our weakness and fully takes advantage of it in an attempt to hold us back in life in many areas. We all struggle with faith on some level, even if it is briefly. I believe God knew faith would be difficult because the bar is set so low for the level of faith we are required to have, and the reward is so high.
For those of you with kids, you know that we love to reward ouch children when they do good, and sometimes excessively! I believe God is the same way with us. After all, we are created in His image.
I created a very short video illustration this morning that illustrates faith! Enjoy… http://www.websiteworld.com/faith.asx
P.S. I left for lunch before submitting this. The girl that made my sandwich at Quiznos was named FAITH, and she had it hand written in huge letters on her name tag in all CAPS.
Mike, Sounds like your getting it. keep soaring.

Troy, This will be your year for the glory of God

Sink with the devil or swim with the Lord. I choose the latter.
My pastor back in Chattanooga use to say “All is well, All is well”. I never really understood how important professing words of life over situations were until my own “come to Jesus moment”. I truly believe that by faith and through faith, All Is Well in 2009. All is Well. My “expectors” are on and I stand in faith knowing God is bigger than the circumstance and is just waiting for those who will choose to “swim with the Lord”.
PRAISE GOD for Faith Promise – and for Faith and for The Promise!
