Hey Gang,

Today is the start of the second half of the year!  It is time to stop and check the gauges.  How are you doing against your goals and plans for 2009.  Many of  us developed a growth plan for this year and some have forgotten it. Maybe you fell behind and saw no hope to catch up.  That’s O.K. but it doesn’t mean you can skip personal growth for the rest of  the year.  What will you do?

1. You can start over with a new plan and goals.  Set the plan so it is obtainable and yet not easy.  Push yourself to reach your full potential.  Jesus deserves or best as He gave His  best for us.

2. You can just pick up your plan and attempt to complete it.  Some of the goals may be hard to achieve, but is it worth it.  Maybe you set as a goal to read the Bible through this year.  Recalculate the pages required and go after it.  Set aside a retreat for yourself and catch up.  Don’t stop, for that is exactly what the enemy desires for you and me.  We must keep going, knowing it is up hill all the way. Sort of like the “Via Dolorosa,”  the road to the cross Christ walked for us – all up hill and carrying our cross.  We are to carry it now.

3. Do nothing. Not an option for a Christ-follower.

Come on gang, you can do it. Don’t wait until you “feel like it.”  The flesh will never feel like it!

Time to grow and reach our full potential.
