New Year New Start
Hey Gang, 2008 is passing away like a dream. For some it was wonderful and for others it was a nightmare, but no matter which side you are on, it’s over! Now what are you going to do in this new year? To improve your game you must invest time and energy. So again, what will you change? Add? Delete? What will make this year a banner year for you? What miracles do you need? What mountains are facing you right now blocking your view or your victory? Our God is able. He can still move mountains and still accomplish miracles. Do you believe? Trust? Have faith? You should, ’cause HE can. Let us know how to pray with you or rejoice with you as we boldly enter the new year. Pray for me and my family as we will be out of the country the first week in 2009. Praying for you. I will be reading your posts and prayer requests.
Love,
Pastor Chris

PC,
You prayed for me before i went to Iraq and we prayed together before Honduras. Now I am in the Marshall Islands and have been touched again by your faith. Teresa Merritt (my ma) sent me your book. I have spent the last month preparing to have a new year and a new life. I spent three months before that feeling absolutely nothing. God’s whisper is so much louder than I ever expect it to be. The timing, and the content of your book have been the keys to unlocking my empty heart and filling it again. Thank you for your words and wisdom and sharing. “Your past is not your future” was the double karate chop back flip kung fu panda kick to the tenders awesomeness that i have needed to hear. Now it is time for me to prepare for the new year the right way. Thank you
Les

Pastor, just wanted to let you know that me and my family will be praying for you and yours until you get back(which I hope is very soon).Pray you have a safe trip.I don’t like it when you’re away and not delivering the message.Every week I look for you when we get to church and when you’re not there,it’s sad because we love you so much and have been waiting all week to hear the message from you that God gives you.But we will “try” to make it this weekend without you,but PLEASE hurry back.GOD BLESS YOU Pastor!!!! Hope you have some much needed rest. You deserve it.Love You,Scott
Praying for your rest and renewal. Dale Henry was a blast. He said something about you and a tatoo. I think the elders are having a special called session. Don’t worry about it though. Have a good time. Karen
Chris, just wanted to thank you for this blog post. Your words are encouraging as I begin to look at the new year. On December 31st as I was praying for God’s vision for my husband and I in 2009 I tried to ignore that I heard the word “mountains” very clearly. After praying and searching scripture, I discovered that my initial impression was not going to change. (me of great faith) So I began to seek the Lord on what exactly He had in mind. He’s so good! He also threw the word “purpose” in there, along with a beautiful reminder of the majesty and exhileration that being in the mountains can bring when one is fixed on Christ and not overwhelmed by the length of the journey. So though I’m certain mountains will come- and they already have in 6 days!- your words remind my that our can still move mountains and accomplish miracles. But more importantly, He just knows what’s best for us. And if it be mountains, then so be it! I’ve got hiking boots! Thanks for speaking the truth. Look forward to seeing you back at FPC soon!
Scott, Thank you so much. Vacation was great and what a time with the family. I’m back and more excited than ever the new series we start this weekend will be great. Look forward to worshipping with you.
