AMEN!! God has just been teaching me this too through Isa. 58:6-8)! I have already shared this with 2 people just in the past 3 days…..
As our healing springs forth from allowing God to untie cords, break yokes, and set us free from our shameful past, we can then move on in that righteousness “and the glory of God will be our rear guard” (Isa. 58:8), Guarding us from the past abuse, guilt, mistakes and shame. I love the mental picture I get of God’s glory (like the cloud that separated the Israelites from pharaoh’s army, the dark from the light) (Exodus 14:19-
20) separating us from our past life to our new life in Christ.

Oh! How shame seeks to destroy the beauty in us. It is the voice that calls down darkness – but there is another voice:
‘I love you, you are My child, I will never leave you or forsake you’
It’s the voice of Jesus, He who ate with prostitutes and criminals and saved a man who was dying next to Him.
He believes in you – listen to His voice.
