The Lengths We Go To Learn!
Hey Gang,
Many of you that read this blog have a real passion to grow. It is obvious as you plan, read, study, and do things to grow personally, spiritually, and physically. Right now I am on the other side of the world on a learning expedition. It is very exciting, and it is very cold. Today I am in Australia. That’s right, “down under.” It is the heart of winter here.
Michele, some of the church staff, and I came down here for a church conference at Hillsong. Michele was here last year and there were 30,000 in attendance at the conference. This weekend we will visit this very exciting church and see what we can learn. You are never too old to learn and grow. I am thrilled and grateful to be here and am looking for more revelation from the Lord. Pray for us as we look, watch, and experience God. There is no telling what we can bring back with us.
What is your next step to grow?” Are you planning any trips? Conferences? Retreats? Anything so you can soak up good stuff to help stretch you, expand your vision, tamper with your dream life? As Christ-followers who want to burn brightly for our Lord we must constantly be throwing wood on the fire. This conference is wood for the blaze. Next week I hope to give you some of the nuggets we get out of the sessions and the services. Pray for us as we pray for YOU!
Love ya,
Pastor

Pastor, Hope you and Michelle are enjoying the conference. I’ve been meaning to write you and tell you how much I appreciated your sermon last Sunday. We need some “truth-tellers” in our society and in the church–not fire and brimstone–but truth-tellers. Men who will speak the truth from a personal and Biblical perspective. The persons who sit the word “but” in their talks with you know they are wrong (you know this), and you are speaking truth into their lives that they will never be able to reconcile with the lies–no matter how hard they want to! Each time I hear you teach the truth in love my faith is encouraged that here is a man who can really make an impact on lives through the power of God’s Spirit. Keep up the good work. May God’s will be done regarding Plan B. –Richard
